Dynamics 365 Sales made easier to collaborate PDF-generated document by saving it directly in Dynamics 365 Sales as a Notes attachment or in Microsoft SharePoint.
Professional-looking PDF files for sales records can be created and shared by using a standard template from your organization to generate the PDF file. It supports entities such as Account, Contact, Lead, Opportunity, Order, Quote, and Invoice.
Configuration:
SharePoint Configuration
Click on Settings > System > Document Management.
Click on Document Management Settings.
Select the required Entities from which you require to place the PDF documents. Click on Next.
To create a folder structure based on specific entity, click the check box, and select an entity. Folders will be created on SharePoint in the context of your Microsoft Dynamics 365 records.
You will be redirected to the Popup window as shown below. Click OK.
All document libraries for the selected entities will be created in SharePoint. Click Finish.
Functionality:
Click on Quotes > open any record (E.g. Test1). Click Create PDF on the command bar > Quote summary.
PDF delivery option Popup window appears. You can either Save or Download at a time.
On Save will save the PDF document to SharePoint if it is configured else it will be saved as Attachments under Notes in Timeline. On Download will save the PDF document to local drive.
Click Email as PDF button to send that Specific Quote to Customer. Click on Quote Summary.
You will be redirected to Email record window with PDF document attached under Attachments.
Compose email and click Send.
